Focusing on the information gap/divide caused by technology and the various ways citizens get their information, we will discuss the recent Supreme Court decision Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission. Since so many people get their information online and through television, corporate sponsors with a lot of money could bombard uninformed voters (the 20 percent in the middle) with biased information. What are the potential ramifications of this decision in terms of educating and/or influencing voters?
