The League of Women Voters of Metropolitan Columbus is committed to providing nonpartisan information to central Ohio Voters. One of the best avenues for educating voters about issues and candidates is a "Meet the Candidates" forum. Candidate forums provide voters with the opportunity to hear directly from candidates and learn more about the issues important to them. These candidate forums would not be possible without the help of volunteers.
The League is holding a members-only training that will provide participants with the skills to moderate candidate forums and the tools necessary to feel comfortable serving as a moderator -- even under stressful conditions!
Participants will also learn how to make presentations about the League and how to help voters find the information they need in order to make informed decisions.
RSVP by Friday, Mar. 19. If you are unable to attend the training but would like to receive the materials and serve as a moderator/speaker, let Amy Pulles at the League office know.
