As a grassroots organization, the League relies on members to have a voice and a vote in the decisions about the most critical aspects of the organization. At the annual meeting, members will:

• Elect new trustees and officers to the board;
• Approve a budget for the period July 1, 2012, through June 30, 2013 (note that a dues increase is being proposed); and
• Approve a program of action and education for the next biennium (2012-2014).

Members can review all of the proposed materials in the April edition of The Voter newsletter. An executive summary of the "4R" strategic planning process is also included in the newsletter, and members will vote on the plan's goals as part of the program.
