Get Involved
Help us make democracy work by joining the League of Women Voters or supporting our work with a donation. Dues-paying members not only make the League’s work possible at the local, state, and national levels, but also add to the strength and diversity of voices calling for more responsive, accountable government.
Unlike membership organizations that simply expect you to pay your dues each year, the League of Women Voters relies on members like you to help us fulfill our goals by getting personally involved. Our local League is a volunteer-driven organization with only one part-time staffer. We invite you to join one of our many committees and experience firsthand the rewards of providing services to central Ohio voters, developing educational forums for citizens, and advocating change in local governments and schools.
The League needs volunteers right now to:
- Can you write grant applications? solicit auction items? recruit corporate sponsors? plan events? Help the League remain vital long into the future by joining our Development Committee.
- Volunteer to help us plan the 2013 Democracy in Action honoring Senator John and Mrs. Annie Glenn. Contact the LWVMC office at vote@lwvcols.org or 614-837-1089.
- Deliver Meals on Wheels on Sundays for LifeCare Alliance and the League; contact Cathy Elkins at (614) 267-5884.
- Or join one of our many other active committees today!
Contact us if you are interested in any of these opportunities.
